Unfortunately my girls have inherited my gene of sleepwalking. If I am really tired I will say and do all kinds of weird things. I see spiders and lights all the time. Once, I woke up in the middle of the night and thought someone was after me. My screaming woke up my husband and I beat the crap out of him, when he leaned over me. Once he could get me awake, I just start laughing. Something of which he didn't seem to find as funny. I woke him up one night to see if I could take his order and offered toast with his coffee. That's when you know you've worked way too much. This is something I have done since I was little and poor Jason just has to suffer with it. My girls unfortunately are taking after me. I caught Madisen next to my bed one night, sitting in the floor eating cheese. The same little girl who is terrified of the dark went down a long dark hall to raid the fridge. It's a good thing she has such a high metabolism, because I feel she will be one of these night feeders who eat while they sleep walk. Kailey bless her heart has it bad also. There are so many nights I wake up to breathing right in my face and hear she is leaned over looking me. Talk about waking up out of a dead sleep in a panic, it freaks me out. When you ask her what she needs she just starts talking mumbo-jumbo. At first I just think I can't understand her because I am so tired, and after a couple more questions I figure out what's going on. Then I have to get up and tuck her back in the bed. I get really frustrated with it, when I've been up with Jacob all night and I just got back to sleep.
Late last night just before bed, I turn around and there she stood right at me.
Me; "Kailey what's the matter are you okay? Do you need some medicine?"
(There she stood just blaring her eyes at me)
Kailey; "Well, you know the white package?"
Me;*blink -blink* "Um what?"
Kailey; (twisting her hands) "You know the white package! There’s a white bucket I use to put water in."
Me; " Oh-kay... I think you just need to go back to bed"
By this time Jason is walking in the room and Kailey smacks right into our
entertainment center, and stops. Jason looks at me and cringes and asks if she's okay. I'm right behind her giving him a look and waiting for the tears to start. Yet instead she just keeps right on going to her room. I tell her goodnight and go to kiss her but she just covers up and doesn't respond. Luckily she had no bruises and doesn't remember a thing. I worry one night she might just go right out the front door, which is why I think we need to invest in some good locks for all our safety.
