Future Discussions

16 Years from now...

"Mom why is my hair so greasy? Nothing seems to help."

"Well Jake it's seems it all goes back to when you were 14 months old. I drastically underestimated your speed and slyness. You see within minutes of the dead silence that fell upon the house, I ran frantically looking for you. To find you slathering yourself with handfuls of Vaseline you somehow managed to discover. Here you were with your hair caked in it, rubbing it all over your arms. What a disastrous mess that was!"

(Here I thought I had his entire room childproof! Seems he must have been eying that large jar of Vaseline, I forgot in his changing table. )

  1. Ooooh, I bet he's going to have the softest skin for a while! Memo to me: by some vaseline; keep it away from the kids.

  2. LOL! Too funny!
I have never had a little one do that, but have "witnessed" a friend's child covered in vaseline. What a MESS!

  6. Yep, I've had that happen before. I've since learned to keep the vaseline high enough to be out of reach. I've also learned that Dawn dish soap will get it all out. Keeping it out of his eyes is another problem all together. Good luck!

  8. Holy cow how did you get that all cleaned up?! And now imagine you beating girls off of him when he's dating because they want to feel his soft skin and hair! :)

Thanks for the reminder though to make sure everything is locked up from my son....you know it's bad when there is silence! :)

  9. My kids seem to all be drawn to the butt paste! It is smeared everywhere. The oldest actually painted my bathroom cabinets with it, the second one covers herself and her baby sister. I usually am clueless until the smell takes over.

  10. Ha!! I have an ex who used to put it in his hair to make it softer.

Aidan got into his stuff and was drawn towards the Germ X. When I caught him with it, he was hoding it sideway and pushed with all of his might. He dquirted it in his eye.

I panicked and was worried about him going blind, but he's OK.

What's even scarier is that it's not over.

  11. LOL! Kids kids KIDS!!! I remember waking up to my daughter sitting in the middle of the living room floor covered in my makeup. My chocolate face powder covered the grey carpet and she had mascara all over her eyes and it was caked on her teeth, lol. Good old days...
