The Experiment

Good morning!
The Experiment
For best results follow all directions first thing in the morning.
Materials;
Just yourself and some coffee

Directions;

1. Get down in the floor and do push-ups until your arms are burning (1-100+)Depending on your physical endurance.
( At this point your arms should feel like spaghetti noodles and it should hurt to pick anything up.If not go back and repeat step 1)
2.Spin around the room like a five year old, until you can no longer focus and you have that stumbling drunk walk. Then grab your coffee and come back...
3. You should now have coffee spilled all over you and the floor, and be repeatedly blinking trying to focus to read this.
Now, close your eyes and imagine you have been up all night with a cranky baby, who refused to sleep more than a consecutive hour.

Results: This is how I feel this morning!

Now, I will leave with your agenda for the day. Have a nice day!

  1. No need to do all that, I remember well how you feel. So sorry. I know it doesn't really help to say how worth it it all is, so I won't. You know already. And it doesn't give you back your energy! I remember crying all the time from lack of sleep. I'm thinking, though, it's the weekend and maybe your hubby is off and can let you nap????

  3. I have a 4 month old and totally understand. He cried for 4 1/2 hours straight yesterday morning, after sleeping less than 3 hours the night before. It not only left me dizzy, but daydreaming about a coffe I.V. as well. Sometimes what saves my sanity is looking at my six year old and reminding myself that every moment is precious (good and bad) because in the blink of an eye they grow up.

  7. Oh, the hangover feeling without the fun drunk night before. The worst is when you stumble to get said crying baby from bed and stub your toe on the door jam. Now the drunk walk turns into the drunk hop. No fun.

  10. There must have been something about last night because 2 of my three babies decided that sleep was not a good thing and my 3 year old decided that he needed to be up twice to go the bathroom. Here's hoping tomorrow is better

  13. Ah, yes, I know this feeling well. There were some days when the twins were newborns that I couldn't drive because I was so tired.

    You hang in there, momma!!!

  17. I feel your pain. I have to get up at 3 to leave for work at 3:30am. I don't get to go to bed until 10:00pm and I have a baby who doesn't sleep through the night. I forgot that sleep acctually exists.

  20. Johnina - are our children twins? I was up all night with a 6 year old barfing all over the place, a whining dog, my baby was crying for me to come back and sleep with her. I slept from 12:30 - 2. At 4 am - I just go tup - at that point, there was no point. My brain is swishy in my head today!
