Why can't we find a normal pet?

  1. Whatever you do, don't get a yorkie-poo. Small, loveable, yes. Hyper-active, annoying, hard to train...unfortunately, yes. Sorry about all your pet troubles.

  2. When I was in high school, my mother bought a miniature schnauzer and we named him Hobbes. He was the sweetest dog ever and inspired my mom to buy a female, with the hope of puppies. We named her Liebschen, but Demon-Dog would have been more apropos. She barked, bit, gave poor Hobbes a nervous disorder. Needless to say, no puppies were spawned and DD soon found herself a new home. 20 years later, we still use her name as a curse.

  3. I think there's something to be said for 100+ lb. animals...NEVER BUY THEM! Sheesh I couldn't imagine having 3 small children and such a large dog. But understandable that St. Bernards are usually very sweet. If you do decide on another pet, I think you should reconsider a lab. Probably not one from in front of a Wal-Mart (what better place to discard of one you know has issues) but one from a shelter or even a pet store. They are typically very good with children, very loyal, and gentle, once past the puppy stage. Whatever your pet endeavors, good luck with them!

  4. Aw, kitty's cute!! I've heard that, though ugly...standard poodles are the BEST and smartest pets. Might be worth some research...

  5. don't get a labradoodle! They are a mix between a poodle and a lab and they a rambunctious little puppies! We own one and although we love her dearly she destroys EVERYTHING!Her teeth are like chewing machines! They are hyper and get to be very big. However all labradoodles are different but ours are very crazy!
We have been told though that when they grow up they are so much better and calm down a bit. But right now our dog is very hyper!
